This is my favorite Mexican restaurant!! It's not fancy and the neighborhood is a little out of the way, but the tostadas, breakfast tacos, and tamales are very good. Try the tostadas with shredded beef "guisado". Full of flavor.

One of the weird things about this place is there's another restaurant with the exact same name and logo up the street, but they are supposedly unaffiliated. There has to be some sort of copyright infringement going on with one of these two spots, but I guess that's The Valley in a nutshell.
My parents wanted to take me somewhere I haven't been before, as Toddle Inn is our usual spot. I can't say I was impressed though. The joint was packed but it was also adequately staffed, so I don't quite understand why we waited so long for our (simple) meals.
There's a wall devoted to the Panaderia section of the restaurant, and the selections looked pretty good. The chorizo plate was good, though I got a bizarre side of fried tortilla chips instead of, like, papas. The tortillas were delicious, and reminded me of my Grandmother's.
Overall, I think places like this are a dime a dozen, so nothing about this place seems all that special to me. I probably wouldn't ask to go back, but I also probably wouldn't say no if invited back out here.
